September 15, Frenchtown-15 Troy-0 Despite our first taste of victory in 1979, this game was also plagued with non-consistency and the loss of three starters to injury. Septmeber 21, Frenchtown-16 Loyola-35 With the loss of three Defensive and Offensive starters, the rivalry ended in the most disappointing loss in the three years of our Homecoming. September 28, Frenchtown-34 Plains-14 An Offense that exploded for 60 yds. coupled with a relentless defense, gave us a complete team victory with maximum effort from everyone October 5, Frenchtown-28 Mission 14 The Broncs utilized a hard hitting running game and an intense defense to completely shutdown the Mission' offense to Insure our second victory. October 13, Frenchtown-28 DartJy T The Broncs overcame mistakes with complete intensity to totally control the game and enjoy our first victory over Darby since our introduction to Class B October 17, Frenchtown 35 Corvallis-0 The Broncs overpowered the Bluedevils in their final debut of the year with a powerful offense and an unforgiving defense to end the season 7

HOME - COMING Queen Traci Jette and King Jeff Hawk Underclassmen royalty L to R, Dan Dahlberg, Dana Bagnell, Ken Miller, Liz Bowman, Ron Iddings, Tami Busby. The robust students of F.H.S. flocked around the fire to cremate an outhouse, which was acquired by the seniors. With a stuffed dummy replica of the Loyola Rams, manufactured by the sophomore class. The wood was chopped and stacked by the juniors and the pit was dug by the freshman class. The night of September 21, there was a turnabout of events as the Broncs lost to the Rams with a score of 35 to 16; but the Broncs put up a first-class fight. Even though the students were not in the best of moods, the Ringly Brothers Band livened them up at the homecoming dance Saturday night following the game. The Juniors' winning float, Kick the sheep out of The Seniors' float The Broncs will reign, 'em 9
