Hello, boys and girls of the Frenchtown Schools, I am deeply moved to know that you, and the staff, have dedicated this Bronc Year- book in my honor. I am in my fourteenth year in your employment as custodian of the Frenchtown Grade School, and I have enjoyed every year of it. I have seen many students start in the first grade and graduate from the twelfth. Some have gone through college and have climbed to heights of fame, thanks to the staff of the Frenchtown Schools. I have seen four superintendents come and go, and am now on the fifth. I think he is doing a fine job as an administrator. Now for a bit of my past life: I was born and raised in Butte, Montana and educated in a little one-room brick school at Silverbow, Montana. Upon leaving school I started farming and dairying and did that for most of my life, except for the time I spent in employment of the Northern Pacific Railroad. When I came to Missoula, I was in charge of three different ranches in this area. After that I hired out as your custodian and have been here ever since. The experi- ence I have had, in seeing this school develop into an accredited school, is one lesson that I will never forget. 1 have prospered and enjoyed every year of it.
