We, the Senior Class of 1965, do dedicate this annual to the memory of Mr. William Lucier. Mr. Lucier was born to Fredolin and Julia Lucier o n October 22, 1907. Ke was raised in the Frenchtown Valley and attended the Frenchtown School. On March 29, 1939, he married Hazel Bilyeu; and they celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary on March 29, 1561i. Mr. Lucier was elected as County Commissioner in 1959 and per- formed his duty faithfully and successfully until tragedy interrupted his term on October 7, 1965. Along with his duty a s County Commissioner, Mr. Lucier had been active over the years in a number of professional and civic organiza- tions. He was a trustee of the School 3oard for twelve years, coached the High School Basketball Team in 19U6, and promoted boy's baseball. He was a director of Montana Co-op, and the Missoula 3aseball Associa- tion. He was awarded the Outstanding Farmer Award by the Agricultural Association. Among his important activities, Mr. Lucier also raised a family . He was the father t o four children: Stanford, William Jr., Bonnie, and Lindy. It is with great pride that we dedicate our annual to Mr. illiam Lucier, a family man who contributed more than his share to this school district, this community, and this state. MR. N. E.
