The Annual Staff of the Frenchtown High School does solemnly dedicate this publication to the GREAT AND ENDURING PURPOSE of scholastic achievement and cultural attainment, with the hope that we can build a school that its graduates will, in the fu- ture, point to with pride—a school that turns out no aimless wanderers upon the highway of life, but one that inspires each of its graduates to live up to his or her God-given ability, no matter how great or small. Men who have the purpose should say to themselves, I am doing my best; ay wife and family are proud of my achievements and success, I am a good provider for my family; I am worthy and able to be the head of my household. Each woman should say, I am successful at the most impor- tant job of all—that of directing the good living and zest to my family. My purpose is not the means but the end toward which all of our efforts are directed. I am culturally and educationally able to inspire my children to lead the good and satisfying life. Let us not forget that making a living is less than half of the purpose. My destiny is to insure that we get the living we have earned. Let us hope and strive so that the good soldier, the business man, the man of science, the doctor, the successful fanner, man of letters, musician, homemaker, or artist will someday attribute his direction to the purpose he found here at Frenchtown High 2 School
