R eporter In chosing candidates for queen, Miss Marilyn Hill was chosen ,to represent the Senior Class. The Seniors were very proud to have two Yell Leaders elected from their class, Sue McCarty and James Potts, for the season of 195031. The last year was the happiest, yet the saddest of all the other years for therc were many activities, but the last ones for the class of '5l. With their work finished, the Senior Class of '51 stood at the railing of the ship and as it entered the City of Graduation the voices of the Seniors came back over the waves with the words: HITCH YOUR WAGON TC A STAR. ARTICLE II With the faculty, we leave our deepest sympathy for losing such brilliant students, with the hope that they can mend their loss through the other graduating classes. ARTICLE III To our beloved sponsors, Miss Beatty and Mr. Dimich, we leave our sincere appreciation for being so helpful and understanding. ARTICLE IV To the Juniors we give the right to have their dignified manners and egotistical outlook, questioned and criticized many times by the under classmen. PAGE NINETEEN

PLUTONIAN 1951 For basketball queen, Miss Sue McCarty was chosen as candidate from the Sophomore Class. It seemed almost no time until another halt was called and the Sophomores hurried ashore for a good time for four months. September 1949 came and the old Sophomore class was greeted by their Cap' tain, Mr. john B. Hammerling. A new ship was anchored at the pier and on its side were the word, jolly Juniors. Miss Sellers, Mrs. Alta Marie Pershing and Mr. Edward Claxton read the list of those who had left the Sophomore group. The Juniors set to work in earnest for they had much to do. With raging storms around us someone had to be put in charge to keep the ship calm. Shirley Matson . . . ..... President Connie Gruber . . . . . Vice President Sue McCarty . . . . . Secretary Jane Simmons . . . . Treasurer Sam Hall .... . . . Reporter They were given the right of Leadership. With several of our boys in basketball we were proud to have Marilyn Hill elected from our class one of the Yell Leaders for the year of 49950. We were also honored again this year by having our class president, Shirley Matson, representing the Jolly juniors as candidate for basketball queen. While on this voyage it was not all to be work, a little entertainment was also necessary. On November 16, a class play was given entitled Take Your Medicine. Those who made up the Cast were: Paul Oswald, Opal Weikert, Zane Wininger, Marilyn Hill, Jerry Kerns, Shirley Matson, Frank Marshall, Connie Gruber, Joanne Daugherty, James Potts, Sue McCarty, Mary Jane Cave, and jane Simmons. Although the juniors were at sea was no reason for Santa to forget them when Christmas came. For Christmas they received their class rings. The most important frolic of the year was the Juniors' reception for the Sen' iors on an island. It was here the Juniors realized they were nearing their own goal and as they watched the great boat sail away they decided to fight harder than ever. Following another brief vacation of four months the remaining boys and girls of the Freshman group came on board a ship with L'Seniors 'SF' painted in huge red letters on a white background. It was found that several had left for other ports. Now, the Senior Class sponsored by Miss Joyce Beatty and Mr. Dan Dimich, were off for another cruise for nine months.
