From tourist, nerds and beach combers, to beings in pajamas and red and black. Hall decoration competition exploded with a frenzy of activity which concluded with the seniors and sopho- mores tied for Best Overall Halls. Beach bums take a lunch break from sunbath ing. It’s a bird, it’s a plane Suzanne. no it’s Super Nerd 33 Tammy being gan. crowned by Me Jodi Barry with John Rogers driven by Hope Jones. The 1986 87 homecoming week was spent preparing for the anxiously awaited game against the Eastside Blazers. With all of the various activities including the hall decorating and the pep session, one could feel the spirit beginning to rise throughout the school. As the evening approached, people piled up along the streets to watch the Eagle band and the floats on their way to the football field. As the stands filled and anxiety grew, the Eagle team burst out on the field bringing with them a roar of applause. At half time, the Queen Candidates and their escorts surrounded the field to see Tammy Gannon, escorted by Rick Michael, be crowned Queen by Megan Tearney. When all was cleared, the mighty Eagles took the field once again, fight- ing diligently in the foul conditions but to no avail, losing 13-6. That wasn’t enough to end the evening for the players and fans though. A dance followed the game and lifted everyones spirits as the previous years vistulas circulated. s9s9 Homecoming court from left: Shane Parsons, Kathy Worl, Mike Kearns, Gina Forte, Rick Michael, Tammy Gannon, Denny Thompson, Sara Stout, John Rogers, Jodi Barry, Andre Didrick, Krista Hamilton Foy McNaugh- ton, Megan Tearney. Rebuild! That was the word for this years varsity football team. According to head coach Jim Dilbone they had an “excellent season for having lost several seniors,” nine to be exact, to graduation. There were two all conference players and two honorable mention players on the team this year. They include Steve Christlieb as an offensive guard and Khris Robinsom as a punter, Todd Hedges an honorable mention quarterback and defensive safety, and Rich Gibson an honorable mention defensive end. The Eagles ended their season with a four for five record and were tied for fourth in the conference over all. Ce e, eO °6 e G6o, V 33. 6. 0- 5. 6'36 3 3 8 6. 1 3 Front row: D. Ruby, J. Vice, D.
