TERRI SUTTON KATHY SHAFFER CARLA FELLER Homecoming Enjoyed by Many Homecoming 1969 was a success despite the rain. A bonfire, for which all the classes gath- ered wood, was held the day before the game. A WOWO disc jockey, Jim Brady, was on hand to present the student body with a plaque listing our Booster Club members. After the coaches introduced the cross country and football teams and gave various pep talks, the cheerleaders led supporting fans in different yells. On Friday at half-time Karyl Palmerton, 1968 Homecoming Queen, crowned Sophomore candidate, Sherry Palmerton, as die 1969 Homecoming Queen. Her court consisted of Senior, Carla Feller, Jun- ior, Terri Sutton, and Freshman, Kathy Shaffer. Although the boys did not emerge victorious, the J.C. L. held a dance in the gym. This was a fitting conclusion to the very enjoyable time spent in preparing for the events. Coaches lead a yell.

Prince, S. GUTHRIE Princess, K. NORAGON Carnival Profits Aid Students Ghosts and goblins filled the gymnasium on October 31, 1969, to begin the Halloween Carnival. Booths of orange and black, dec- orated by the various classes, lined the walls to set the scene. Events which highlighted the evening included two talent shows, wrestling matches, cake walks, a raffle, the crowning of the King, Queen, Prince, and Princess, and the costume judging. A large crowd in attendance patronized the different concessions. The proceeds were used for assemblies, school improvements, and each class received a percentage of the receipts from the booths which they sponsored. Carnival Manager M.
