Student Council Capable Representative One of the many outstanding features of the 1951-52 school year was the Student Council. This was an organization made up of two representatives from each high school class and an advisor. The object of the group was to bring about a closer relationship between the teachers and pupils, present the problems of the students to the faculty, and to plan programs for the student body throughout the school year. The Council this year was under the able direction of the principal, Mr. Mertz. The members included Sharon Weigle and Roger Follett, seniors; Cecil Appleman and Janis Baird, juniors; Rosemary Mitchell and Dick Snyder, sophomores; Skip Luke and Betty Gary, freshmen. The officers were: Sharon Weigle, president; Roger Follett, vice-president; Rose- mary Mitchell, secretary-treasurer. The group worked with Mr. Latier, chairman, during the Hallowe ' en Carnival. They conducted the election of the high school yell-leaders and took charge of the ex- change for Christmas.
