IDE Mr. Douglas Harville A decade has passed since your first days as a teacher and leader here at Fremont. Throughout each of those ten years you have left, in one way or another, something to help glorify Fremont High. From your beginning days at Fremont, with its student body of less than a thousand, until now, with over two thousand, you have proven your willingness to work for the betterment of others . . . You have shown us determination and loyalty in any one of your many endeavors . . . You have produced, in our Music Department, bands that have been worthy of winning numerous awards . . . You have given us uncounted hours of valuable help in musicals, plays, assemblies, and concerts . . . Your stern discipline has led us to perfection, and your friendly disposition and pride in your work have all helped gain for you the never ending respect and admiration of teachers, students and alumnae. Perhaps only a few realize the true guidance that you brought, along with your subtle humor, to Fre- mont ten years ago, but, as you are so dedicated to Fremont High School, we the students are, too, indebted to you for your wonderful contributions. We proudly dedicate to you, Mr. Douglas Harville, this Pathfinder of Nineteen-Hundred and Sixty-two.

Our country needs you young people desperately. There is a great challenge here for young men and women of intelligence, imagina- tion and courage. How will you rise to this challenge? It you believe in a free society, be wlorthy of a free society. If you believe in a free society, are you concerned for the in- dividual in that society? For every good person strengthens society. May this yearbook be a reminder of the goals you have achieved, the good times you have had, the friendships you have made, and may it be a harbinger of good days ahead. My congratulations to Mr. Harville who is most deserving of the honor you have bestowed upon him. ROGER ADAMS Vice-Principal BERNICE MENG HENRY NOR'BERG Dean of Girls Dean of Boys
