Q' ri .F .,,- Varsity - 'T ': -T-5 1 ' One of the shortest quintets ever to perform on the Fremont hardwoods, our Mighty Mites emerged froin the 1946-47 basketball season with a fine record of ten wins and seven losses, making 11 p a total of 5 68 points to their op ponents' 502. Always hnstling and full of fight, the Mites,' fought their way into a second place tie in the O.A.L. and also vnanagerl to cop third place honors in the Northern California prep basketball tournament. Three players from the starting team were placed on the coaches and players All-City quintet. Bill Turner, lanky Bengal, pivot man, and Captain Ken Perry, stellar guard, were placed on the first team, while forward, Ernie Telles, leading Tiger scorer, captured a second string position. Rounding out Coach Bill Roelz.well's Whiz Kids were john Walsh, a tricky forward, and Bruce Iversen, a -reliable guard. Others on the squad were Don Wifzto-iz, Bert Ander- son, and Fred Snndqizist.
