The Fremont Creed o We will do right for the right's sake. We will respect the rights of others. We will never bring disgrace to this, our school, by any act of dishonesty or cowardice, nor ever desert our suffering comrades in the ranks. We will live for the ideals and sacred things of the school, both alone and with many. We will revere and obey the schools laws and will do our best to inspire a like respect and reverence in those about us who are prone to annul or set them at naught. We will strive unceasingly to quicken the public sense oi civic duty. Thus in all these Ways we will transmit this school not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was trans- mitted to us. -Frank Stuart Rosseter.

ri 5 Dedication . . . In dedicating this Flame to you, our , faithful counselor and advisor, Mrs. Frances Mohr, We, the class of Ianu- ary, 1942, wish to express our sincere appreciation to you for your Wise guid- ance throughout our three years at Fremont. We may have Winter Carnival for the theme of this book and our class dance may be called a Snow Ball, but none oi their chill can enter the Warmth of our affection for you and the gratitude which We owe to you, our counselor. Counselor's Message . . . Hs the Class of lanuary, 1942, prepares a final record of its activities in a new FLHME, it is incongruous in some Ways that its theme should be Winter Carnival. The incongruity is not with the Winter. But now most certainly is not a time of carnival. It is a time to challenge the best efforts of all of us to our clearest, most serious thinking and doing. In a topsy-turvey World you are to take your place under conditions that make it hard for anyone to keep his head. It is not idle to assume that Fremont has provided you with some of the skills and ideas with which you will meet your problems. The Coming years will provide the testing of you, Fre- mont's products, I am confident now that most of you will meet the perplexities ahead with honesty, courage and intelligence. Rnd so it is with this feeling I bid you simply Godspeed FBQNCES MOI-IR.
