The purpose of Y-Teens is to build a fellowship of women and girls devoted to the task of realizing in life those ideals of personal and social living to which they are committed to by faith as Christians. Y-teens for the school year I972-l973 chose the more personal part of Y- teens, getting along with each other. Y- teens has tried something different this year by putting the girls into groups or families to eliminate the communication 83P- As president, Mariorie Heyne explained the idea behind the idea. ln most clubs I have found that there is alack of com- munication between the members and the officers. lndividuality or a more per- sonal approach is what we are striving for in Y-teens this year.

Future Homemakers of America is a national club open to both boys and girls and designed to help individuals grow to their fullest potential. The activities the club plans are designed to help in- dividuals reach their goals. The year's activities included a Halloween party, a Community service project and a Christmas caroling party. The FHS chapter of FHA won awards for attendance and best display at the dis- trict convention which was held in Fre- mont. The theme for the event was Reflections of Life through FHA. French Club s lls food to hungry student bod was-.,E. 6 L. French Club members seem to be enjoying themselves at a wienie roast with a family from France. The wienie roast was the first activity of the year for the growing organization. At the beginning of the school year French Club had a wienie roast with a family who had just moved to the United States from France. They next had a par- ty where everybody brought some homemade French pastry. Senior Jodie Lenser expressed everybody's feelings about it when she said, Everything l sampled was delicious-and I sampled everything! French Club was busy during October working on a French tiger for the Homecoming display that was a joint ef- fort of the three language clubs. The clubs also got together for a joint Christ- mas party. A main project of French Club was ear- ning money by bake sales so that a trip to a French cafe in Omaha could become a reality.
