Thou struck him quickly as the falcon Strikes his prey from boundless skies, And left his family, friends and loved ones Saddened hearts and reddened eyes. How Fathomless to mortal mind The Lord,s sole power to give or take, But glad that glorious day to come When Cod calls Johnny to awake. -By Joe Creig We, the Senior Class of 195-7, dedicate our annual to the memory of John Albright, our beloved classmate. Johnny will always be remembered in our hearts for his sunny smile, cheerful personality, and outstanding musical ability. IF M + , M p Q A W 6 vw? imma, nf -fjfff W' Af .,. J - 'flag ggi! N VW X X HW, ,, SHARON WOLFLEY SHIRLEY WOLFLEY SENIOR HISTORY Recalling our high school days we are sad that they will soon be history. Yet the wonderful memories will linger with us for many years to come. Remember what confused freshmen we were, how we dreaded initiation, but ended up having lots of fun, for example, our freshman assembly. As freshmen we won the Intramural basketball tournament. The royalty of that delightful year was Mary Hart, Homecoming Queen Attendant and Sweetheart Queen, with Martha Lajeunesse, Prom Queen Attendant. Bill Penton was our class president, Whitey Goggles, Vice President, Don Hitshew, Secretary, Sharon Wolfley, Treasurer, Kay Lathrop, Student Council Representative, and our sponsors for that year were Miss Scheidt and Mr. Cox. During our sophomore year we gave the Thanksgiving Assembly. Our royalty was Shirley Wolfley, Homecoming Queen Attendant, and Sharon Wolfley, Prom Queen Attendant. Bill Frank was our president, Helen Thompson, Vice President, Karene Eden, Secretary, Tom Graham, Treasurer, Roseva Weber, Student Council Representative, and our sponsor was Mr. Ward. The real highlight of our school days thus far was the Junior Prom. All our hard work was amply rewarded when the finished product, ORIENTAL GARDENS, was a huge success. Helen Thompson was our radiant queen, with Kay Lathrop as her attendant. The Junior play, FATHER KNOWS BEST, was lots of fun to put on and everyone turned out for the first class performance. We thank Mrs. Petro and Mr. Hoagland for helping us on our Junior Play. Karen Wardell was our Home- coming Queen Attendant and Kay Lathrop, Sweetheart Queen. Don Inloes was our president, Ben Connell, Vice President, Kay Lathrop, Secretary, Mary Hart, Student Council Representative, and our sponsors were Mr. Ward and Mrs. Tweed. Next came our big Senior year. In September we had our class pictures taken and we ordered announcements. Our Homecoming dance was well attended and all had a good time. This was the last game for our Senior lettermen and they made us very proud by beating our rival, Riverton. Roseva Weber represented our class very well as Homecoming Queen Attendant. We gave the annual Christmas Assembly Party. We worked hard on the Senior play and with the help of Mr. Hoagland, Miss Kim, and Miss Bales it was a big success. The Seniors were guests at the Junior Prom with Judy Sneddon as Senior Attend- ant. Our president was Bill Frank, Dick Scarlett, Vice President, Tom Graham, Secretary, Dick Kail, Treasurer, Shirley Wolfley, Student Council Representative, and our sponsor was Mr. Hoagland. Don Inloes was the President of the Student Council. High school has been work but it has been lots of fun. We have all these wonderful memories to keep us in mind of our friends, classmates and our Alma Mater, FCVHS. ? as . , l 4 Z I abr, l ls it good, Sharon Mary Kay MacManus, ,lo Anne Roe, WOW!! Approx- imately 65 players started the season and about 45 ended, with 21 players and 2 man- agers lettering. We had a season's record of 1 win against 8 losses. Although the win-loss record is not very impressive we feel that we had a better season and a better team than we did last year. Our only win of the season was with our cross-country rivals, the Riverton Wolverines in a smashing 30 to 7 win. This game was our Homecoming game and it pleased many alumni. There were 11 seniors who played their last high school game. Richard Vensor and Dennis Nichols were the managers and Tom Graham and John Campbell were the Co-Captains. The scores were as such: LANDER ,-.--,,e,-,,.. 18 RIVERTON ,,eel ..ee,, 6 LANDER ,ee-,, ,,... 1 4. RIVERTON .e,., el..., 1 5 LANDER ve,.,, ,e,, 6 RIVERTON ......,,ees... 26 This years Bw Squad consisted of about 24' play- ers, mostly freshmen and sophomores. Their sea- son's record was 1 win and 2 losses. They were under the capable guidance of Coach King. These players are the ones who will fill the gap left by the graduating seniors. The Bw Squad players show much promise and the teams in the years to come should be much better. l ....-.av if . This was the best season for the boys that came out with the matmen.
