Fremd Varsity Vikes Score Big With 6-3 Season, Sophs End Year With 8-1 Record, Frosh Squads Post .500 Overall 0 it 0 0 S There is only one word to describe the 1976 football season at Fremd and that word is GREAT! With a well- balanced team, potent both offensively and defensively, the Vikings were strong contenders for the North division crown. The talent on this team was recognized thruout the conference as area coaches selected Greg Lombard, Rick Ramsey, Dale Hallberg, Tim Bullen, Gary Gunderson and John Finney to the All-Conference team. It proved a victori- ous year for Coach Samojedny and his varsity Vikes. Coach Vern Boelkens' Sophomore squad posted a fine record with only one loss to crosstown rival, Palatine, while the Frosh squads had a respectable .500 season. The mighty Viking Defense sacks another quarterback.
