Fremd Vikings Journey Over The Rainbow For 1976 Homecoming The week of Homecoming 1976 turned Fremd High School into a fantasyland of excitement and color. The combination of the imaginative theme of Over the Rain- bow with the beautiful fall weather and the victorious Viking football teams made the week-end unforgettable. Senior Ellen Marsik was chosen by her classmates to reign as Homecoming Queen. Crowned on Tuesday of Homecoming Week by 1975 Queen, Barb Snick, Ellen and her lovely court graced the annual Homecoming parade and the football game. Also honored during the week were the senior girls selected as members of Rose Arbor. Climaxing this eventful week was the dance, the suc- cess of which was testified to by the overflow crowd. Homecoming 1976 was an exciting and colorful highlight of the Fall at Fremd High School. Queen candidate Carol Mercer smiles radiantly.

Preparation, Decorations Highlight Homecoming Week Homecoming Week saw a tremendous effort on the part of the Fremd student body. Preparations for floats and showcase decorations kept clubs and classes busy right up to the Friday deadline. The spirited Pep Assembly held Friday morning was a tremendous boost to Viking Spirit 1976. l I rl-lf?fl Flag Corps takes first place honors in showcase decorations. This balloon man added color to the Homecoming Assembly. I 3 ill Pom Pon Squad members prepare their entry in window decs. The Senior Class float had many willing workers.
