Social changes occur constantly in all societies. Each generation faces new challenges. Four years of education at Freeport High School have provided a basis for the class of ’82 to meet the challenges which will affect its future. Some of the graduates of the class of ’82 may become famous for their accomplishments and open for all of us the doors to a new era. It shall be an era of uniqueness. Each year, thousands of students graduate from high school, and take with them the knowledge of what they have learned throughout their high school years. Whether they go on to get a job, attend college, or join the armed forces, they use their education as a foundation for their future. Now is the time when we learn to grow with society and create our own space in which we will become more independent and mature. Here is where we must accept that many bonds will be broken, only to build new ones. Our memories, experiences and education are our passport to a new era. 9
