Administration and Guidance Whether you're a bewildered seventh grader confronted with questions of your new high school life or a hopeful senior planning to attend college, the guidance department is always willing to help solve your problems. Entering these offices with their cozy home-like atmospheres, students feel completely at ease to discuss their problems. Although the guidance department is concerned with adjusting pupils to high school life, it is especially interested in guiding the students in choosing their future careers. Under the supervision of Miss Alice V. Davis and Mr. John Hesse, junior high school boys and girls become acquainted with the curriculum of F. H. S. When sophomores, these students partici- pate in a series of aptitude and preference tests, the results of which aid greatly in determining their future vocation. Guided by the sincere and warm personality of Miss Mary Didas and the untiring efforts of Mr. C. Overton Tremper, senior high students receive advice on possible careers and information regarding colleges and employment. As we, the class of '53 realize the debt we owe to our advisors who have truly shown us how to Hitch Our Wagon to a Star , we offer them our appreciation and thanks. 13
