Ml 'WUWW' There comes a time in every0ne's life when he feels he must stop to review past events. This indeed might be such a mo- ment, for as we pause on the brink of our greatest adventure we find ourselves looking back to the days of yesteryear-to those memorable times that we hope never to forget. Memories-a hint of laughter, a smile of friendship, a help- ing hand, a roaring cheer, a great silence-are combined with the scenes of our youth-our favorite ice-cream parlor, the sta- dium, the beach, the school, the waterfront in our town. So many people, so many places, have made them in our carefree youth the best years of our lives. These are now the things that are imprinted on our minds- the things that have made our youth so fine, so right, so eter- nally our own. Should the memory of our years spent in school ever fade, should these images be obscured by the pressures of everyday living, we need only to leaf through these pages that record our youth. They will help us to renew old acquain- tances-friends, scenes, dreams, ideals. In word and picture they are given to us for forever in this our final high school record. We are proud and happy that we have been able to live them in our town, Freeport, and proud and happy to immortalize them in the 1949 Voyageur.
