Greetings to the Class of 1941.9 Congratulations on an excellent record of achievement! The theme of your year book- Our Youth in Our Community-challenges thought and imagination. Youth, splendid in mentality, poise, and char- acter, is the most prized possession of any com- munity. A school is a living, feeling, growing spirit, drawing life from the daily triumphs of boys and girls and friendly teachers and un- folding a personality all its own. F. H. S. today is you, it grows with youg what you do, it does, its success is measured by your success. Class of 1949, you have been cooperative in your atti- tude, constructive in your influence, serious in your work, and responsible to the duties of school citizenship. Our town is a progressive and rapidly grow- ing community. Our schools have grown with the community they serve. Its citizens, prompt- ed by high ideals and worthy purposes, have supported our schools liberally as their most effective means of service for training future citizens. The tomorrow of our town belongs to you, the youth of today. Good citizenship springs from the same habits of active group DR. JOHN W. Donn participation which you have practiced in high school. As you begin the march down the years of adult life, may you be inspired by the same ideals and purposes which have led to success in high school. May you be as deeply sensible to the great tasks which lie ahead as you have been to those of the presentg may you continue your talent and leadership for the advancement of our town, our state, and our nation. Best wishes to each member of the Class of 1949. J OHN W. Donn Superintendent of Schools
