VICE-PRINCIPALS AND BEANS Our Vice-Principals and Deans, Miss Cochran and Mr. MaHood, are important cogs in the VVheel of Education at Freeport High School. Theirs is the problem of seeing that each student does his best, and that any problems which arrive are solved. The Girls' Dean is Miss Cochran and the Boys' Dean, Mr. MaHood. Besides fulhlling her duties as Vice-Principal and Dean of Girls, Miss Cochran teaches a trigonometry class. She is also faculty ad- viser of Girls' VVeek and is partly responsible for the excellent pro- grams the girls have this week. Vocation and hobby are the same for Miss Cochran, since her main interest is boys and girls. This partly explains the wonderful work she has done in Freeport Higll School. A great deal of Mr. MaHood's time is spent working with the G.0. Executive Committee and as faculty adviser of the G.O. Coun- cil. Also, round about October he is busy as a faculty adviser of the Boys' VVeek Committee. However, he is never too busy to give you a friendly word. Chances are that if you brought up the subject of fishing, you would start quite an interesting conversation for Mr. lNIaHood is an ardent admirer of Sir Izaak VValton's art. VVhilc certain members of the Senior Class have spent some of their time in conferences with either Miss Cochran or Mr. MaHood, we know that as they look back upon those meetings they will re- member only the more cheerful conversations. The interest and patience which Miss Cochran and Mr. MaHood have shown in their work. and their unselfish efforts to help IIS, are greatly appreciated. The Class of 194-1 says, Thanks l D120
