who have been fortunate enough to have had the guidance of ' our vice principal during our high school career, are able 0 appre- ciate the splendid qualities of character she possesses, for aside from be- ing a capable teacher and efficient principal, Miss Cochran is one of those rare teachers with whom we enjoy informal conversation. .XVR Her two main hobbies seem to be astronomy and the alumni. The active interest which she shows in Freeport High students continues long past their school days, and alumni returning to F. H. S. are always sure of being personally welcomed by Miss Cochran. Although acting as Freshman class adviser and arranging Junior High assembly programs take a great deal of her time, Miss Cochran, in collaboration with Mr. Mansperger, introduced a Chapter of the National Honor Society into the Junior High School last year.
