HZAPPY is that principal who earns and holds not only the respect of i his students, but their friendship as well. In the short three years Mr. Mansperger has been with us, we have come to love and respect him as our adviser, principal, and friend. An active and interested worker in our behalf, Mr. Mansperger has introduced into Freeport High Schcol a chapter of the National Hon- or Society which finishes its third successful year this June. Due to his influence, Freeport High School has innovated the Activity Budget System, a plan whereby the student pays a stipulated sum which entitles him to all school activities. At heart our principal is a home man, and outside of school hours, thoroughly enjoys tinkering with his auto or digging in his garden. And so, though the Class of 1932 bids Freeport High School a re- luctant farewell, we know that each member has made, in his high school career, a lifelong friend in MARTIN M. MANSPERGER l15l

I tremendously enjoy the work I am engaged in, because I enjoy the company of my young friends. And we enjoy your company too, Mr. Dodd. It always seems to us that our school day is a bit brighter, that we ourselves are a little cheerier, when you show your smiling face in the corridor. Somehow or other, we play our football a little harder, we sing our songs a little more spiritedly, we put a little more into our plays, when We know that you are watching us. The Class of 1932 is proud to have had the opportunity to associate with you for six years, JOHN W. DODD I 14 l
