Page Srvc The Clarron SCHOOL LIBRARY A vvelcome renov atron has been mstrtuted m the School Lrbrary thrs yefrr The books had been scattered over the vfrrrous rooms They have now been collected and placed rn vv hat vv as formerly known as the Book I oom Thrs Book Room vvas a sort of store house full of assorted Junk and a few text books It has novy been cleaned furmshed vvrth more shelves a magazrne rack, sev eral chans and the lrbrarv table formerlv rn the Marn Room Our small stock of books partly fills the shelv cs on two srdes Although thls room IS small rt vvould be rdeal for our needs rf rt vvere only heated rn some vvay On nrce sprmg days when ev ery one else rs enjoyrng the warm arr, the patrons of the lrbrary shrver rn therr shoes and leave xts othervvrse pleasant precrncts for vvarmer reglons A complete change rn the frlmg and mdex mg sy stem has also been made and the sys t m now rn use rs much srmpler and more adaptable to our small hbrary than the former one These changes were all com plete by March and the lrbrary rs now open durmg, school hours and one hour after school on Monday, Fuesday Wednesday and 'lhursday afternoons The Co operatrve L1 brary Assoclatron hrres a student lrbrarran and an frssrstant to care for the lrbrary and rssue books Qurte a brt of material rs novv avarlable comprrsrng about 370 volumes of hrstory, crvrcs brography poetry drama classrcal ilctron Qsuch as have been used as texts rn Lngu h classesl oconomrcs translatrons, etc tlrrcc sets of cncvclopedras and other rcicrcnce books subscrrptrons to the IN tlOllZ1l Geograplnc, Our Dumb Ammals, IX.r ure Magazrne Scrence News Letter, Scholastrc Coach and to the Oiflcral Organ of the Unrted States Government The Umted States Darly and a travelrng lend rug lrbrary of 00 volumes loaned by the Marne State Lrbrary The chref lack IS rn the hctron department Several k1nd frrends have loaned or donated materral whlch was hrghly apprecrated Any more offers of the same kmd espccrally m the fictron depart ment, would be of great benefit to the school Another thmg whrch would add hr hly to the efflcrencv of the lrbrary IS subscrrptrons to good magazrnes such as The Lrterary Drffest the Readers D1 gest The Amerrcan Boy The Amerrcan Gul Screntrfic Amerrcan, etc GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP It s that referees fault He favors th srde all the trme grumbles one player 'reh and that trme he called the foul on me vvlren that guard bumped rrght mto me I s pose that vvas farr vorees another Say d1d you see me bang that forward on the nose?
