Senior Class Prophecy Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. This is Del Koch with the latest news of today, MBI 2, 1970. The big news of the day, of course, is that of the tmited States man-carrying rocket successfully reached the moon. The rocket, carrying its designer, Dr. James Hamilton and his assistances arrived at its destination at exactly 5:00 P.M. today. The president an- nounced the news at a special news conference early this evening. hrther information is classified at this time. Deana Kopp , the famous model, reported today that a 35,000 mink coat was stolen fran her New York apartment while she was visiting friends. The police report that they have no clues to the theft. New York oartomist, John Gruber, an expert on Modern art was in Spokane today to look at an amateur painting by Gene Ashmore, a dealer in Ford cars in Rockford, ltshing- ton. Mickey Vens, Omer of Ven's grocery chain stores has recmtly sold his business to lleanor Bheard Barks, the wealthy owner of a chain of beauty parlors. A tragedy darkens the news tonight. During the brief lightning storm last night , ligatning struck a famhouse at Valleyford, Washington burning it to the ground. Michael Morden, owner, reports that 320,000 worth of damages was done. Senior Class Prophecy qcomrwueoy Mrs. Bette Weber Glass gave birth to quintuplets in a Spokane hospital today. The quintuplets, all girls , are the first to be born in the thited States. lhyne Longfield, the noted pediatrician, describes their condition as excellent. Robert Mills, principal of Freennn High School, escaped without 1n,1ury from an auto- mobile accident on Sunset Hill. The other driver, Helen Binpman was attempting to pass him. She collided with a car caning the other way and ccmpletely denolished her car re- ported Robert Olmstead, the investigating state patrolman. Mrs. Della Boy Brooks, the widow of the late General Electric president , entertained friends at her home last night. It was her first party since her millimaire husband's death. Television executive, Robert Collins, today announced his engagement to his private secretary, Karen Lesser. They plan to be married in her hometown immediately. Now I switch you over to Vary Buntrock, your sports commentator. Hello, everycne, now to the latest happenings in the sports world. Nancy Schneider, owner of the Boston Women's Gym and trainer of lady wrestlers, an- nounced today that she is confident Minnie the Muscles will win tomorrow n1ght's fight against n1g1and's Mighty Stella . Meanwhile in their Florida training camp, Hank Owen, coach of the Giants, professio- nal football team, reported an injury to his star center. It is feared that he will not be able to play in the opening game cn Saturday, at Ins Angeles. Beverly Dentcn, the wcmen's world tennis champion , announced today that she is retir- ing from the gms because of an injury she received in her last tournament.
