At left bookkeeping students, Sandra Barta, Lynn Mendel, Doug Brucklacher, and Lucille Glanzer, make a new bulletin board. As a reward and a test for their good behavior the seniors were granted special privileges, such as open campus and a liberal dress code during the final nine weeks. 13

Seniors Attend Legislative Sessions At the end of a tedious four hour bus ride, the American Government class, supervised by jim Erpenbach, arrived at South Dakota's state capital in Pierre. The first scheduled activity for the day was a tour of the Governor's mansion, arranged by co-advisor Mr. Bob Uecker. The remainder of the day was filled by visits to the Senate and House, and thorough tours of the network of underground tunnels.
