Debate Team Participates in Eleven Meets Making up the debate squad are, TOP: Garnet Gering, Margaret Stern, Holly Wrenn, Cindi Svar- toien. LEFT: joe Villa, George Villa, Keith I-Iofer, Rita Wipf, David Christensen, Ted Hofer. With their advisor Mr. Charles Cady, the FHS debate team attended a total of eleven meets. The topic was, RESOLVED: That Congress should pro- hibit unilateral United States military intervention in foreign countries. LEFT: Holly Wrenn and Rita Wipf made up the A negative team and David Christensen and George Villa were the A affirmative team. BELOW LEFT: Holly Wrenn and Ted I-Iofer were the squad's A extemporaneous speakers. Three conference debates brought Freeman fourth place. Competing against 35 other schools the team debated at Augustana and Lincoln High. At the divisional meet Freeman missed third place by only a few points.

Part of our school system is the Special Educa- tion class which has' been held for twelve years at Pine Hill Printery. Students are divided into two groups, educable and trainable.
