The FLYETTE staff includes BACK: Tom Haar, George Villa, Karon Uecker, Dale Aman, David Christensen, John Hanson and Kim Wilde. FRONT: joe Villa, Greg Kleinsasser, Judy Aman, Tammi Graber, Marcy Kaufman, Eileen Koerner, Diane Weier, Arlene Kleinsasser, Kathy Krehbiel, Carol Han- son and Mark Mehlhaf. Work on the 1970 FLYETTE began at a Week- long yearbook camp at Brookings, June 16-20. There the editors set up basic plans for the yearbook. Throughout the school year pictures were taken of students, faculty, and of organizations. Photographs were taken by Al's Studio, Alvin Mudder, and Rueben Goertz. Instead of the usual paste-up system, the 1970 FLYETTE used 3-R forms, a simpler and more precise system. E Flyette Uses New System The FLYETTE editing staff is, BACK: Brenda Gunderson-- typist, Holly Wrenn and Linda Rechnagel--junior editors. FRONT: A1-delle Kleinsasser and JoAnn Wagner--co-editors, Joan Marie Wipf and jan Mehl- haf--business managers. 42

Pep Club Makes Uniforms The 26 Pep Club members are, BACK: Nancy Kleinsasser, Terry Walter, Jan Mehlhaf, Loa Laber, Arlene Kleinsasser, Nancy Pfeiffer, jackie Stahl, Margaret Stern, Karon Uecker. SECOND: Judy Aman, Tammi Graber, Kathy Krehbiel, Marcy Kaufman, Monica Schrag, Glenda Wiens, Marilyn Stahl, Margo Graber, Rose Hoff. FRONT: Carol Hanson, Rita Wipf, Rhonda Stewart, Garnet Gering, Marlene Haar, Nancy Schamber, Barb Uecker, Sandy Barta. A more active and better organized Pep Club boosted the Flyers this year. The club sewed new ma- roon pant jumpers and wore white blouses. Besides at- tending games and matches, the Pep Club ran the concession stand at the wrestling tourney and was in charge of skits at pep rallies. To remain a member of the Pep Club one must attend 7O'Xn of the games and matches and to letter, one must attend 80M of them. Those lettering are: Judy Aman, Rose Hoff, Sandy Barta, Rita Wipf, Garnet Gering, Margo Graber, Loa Laber, jan Mehl- haf, Rhonda Stewart, Barb Uecker, and Glenda Wiens Pep Club officers are, BACK: Karon Uecker-- president, Kathy Krehbiel--treasurer, jackie Stahl-- vice president. RIGHT: The MAROON AND WHITE editorial staff is Rita Wipf--junior editor, Jackie Stahl--business man- ager, Tzammi Graber--editor, JoAnn Wagner--photog- rapher, and'David Christensen--business manager. Maroon and White Has Wide Circulation RIGHT: Staff members who contributed in special areas of publishing the monthly paper are Marion Say- ler, Carol Hanson, Holly Wrenn, Brenda Gunderson, Linda Rechnagel, and Maurita Kaufman. Their work included drawing, typing and mimeographing. 43 The MARooN AND WHITE, pub- lished monthly by a twenty- eight member staff, won its seventeenth All- State rating in the South Dakota High School Press Association's con- test this year. The rating was for the '68-'69 paper edited by Audrey Kleinsasser. A plaque was presented to the school for this honor. The MAROON AND WHITE has a circulation of approximately 250 people, including over 25 other schools. Mrs. jean Thorell acted as advisor for the publication. Reporting for the MAROON AND WHITE are, BACK: Ardelle Klein- sasser, Eileen Koerner, Nancy Pfeif- fer, Nancy Kleinsasser, Sandy Barta, jan Rademacher, Marcy Kaufman, Ioan Marie Wipf, Marilyn Stahl.
