Ted and Karon Reign Gver Homecoming '69 Freeman I-Iigh School Homecoming activi- ties began Thursday night October 2 with the crowning of Ted Hofer and Karon Uecker. They were crowned by Cindy Kaufman and Arlen Scha.mber. The precessional march was played by jackie Stahl, and David Christensen sang the Royalty song accompanied by the Freeman High School band. Tom Villa served as master of Ceremonies. Skits were presented and Don Diede introduced the football team. A pep meeting, lead by the cheerleaders ended the Coronation event. Due to bad weather the bonfire was can- celled, but a snake dance took place instead. Pictured below is the 1969 Royalty court. Something new for Freeman High School was having four royalty attendants instead of the usual two. They are LEFT: Rodney Anderson, Mark Mehlhaf, Allen Weier, Kim Wilde, King Ted Hofer, Queen Karon Uecker, jo Ann Wagner, Kathy Krehbiel, Marcy Kaufman, and Rose Hoff. Train and Crownbearers are Billy Weier, janet Goertz, Cory Diede, and Jody Lehman.

BELOW LEFT director Mrs. Betty Mudder and a group of band members are relaxing be- fore lining up to march in the , parade. That evening the Flyers were defeated by the Montrose 1 Irish, but the game was credited a forfeit. Following the game, music for the Homecoming dance was provided by the Steel Blue .
