Of these players Ted Hofer, LeRoy Pullman, and Kim Wilde ranked for the all-conference team. The team started out strong, but as the season pro- gressed injuries took Kim Wilde and Mark Mehlhaf out of the action, Desire and hustle, however, made up for injuries as the squad ended up with a respectable record. Ted and Karon Reign Gver Homecoming '69 Freeman I-Iigh School Homecoming activi- ties began Thursday night October 2 with the crowning of Ted Hofer and Karon Uecker. They were crowned by Cindy Kaufman and Arlen Scha.mber. The precessional march was played by jackie Stahl, and David Christensen sang the Royalty song accompanied by the Freeman High School band. Tom Villa served as master of Ceremonies. Skits were presented and Don Diede introduced the football team. A pep meeting, lead by the cheerleaders ended the Coronation event. Due to bad weather the bonfire was can- celled, but a snake dance took place instead. Pictured below is the 1969 Royalty court. Something new for Freeman High School was having four royalty attendants instead of the usual two. They are LEFT: Rodney Anderson, Mark Mehlhaf, Allen Weier, Kim Wilde, King Ted Hofer, Queen Karon Uecker, jo Ann Wagner, Kathy Krehbiel, Marcy Kaufman, and Rose Hoff. Train and Crownbearers are Billy Weier, janet Goertz, Cory Diede, and Jody Lehman.
