On Tuesday, October 12, 1983, Bridget Kasper was announced the Homecoming Queen in front of the whole student body during the Queen’s Assembly. It was the first time the queen was announced during the assembly. Mary Ahlrich sang “Take Me to Heart”, and Holly Vasold dedicated “The Rose” to Bridget. Mark Parsons, lead vocalist of the band Bottom Line, performed “Hot Girls in Love.”
