The closing of the club's storage area in February did not dampen the enthusiasm of its membership. ln three and one half months, the club managed to col- lect and sell 14,737 pounds of tin and 565 pounds of aluminum. These amounts are comparable to last year's totals for the entire year. Such an environmental effort must be applauded. The photography division of the club distinguished itself through some outstand- ing accomplishments. ln a scholastic pho- tography contest held at King's College, F.H.S. photographers won four places in the competition among high schools from seven counties. This group also put together a booklet which they entered in a Luzerne County environmental competition. This booklet which documents the activities of the club was so well presented that Freeland received first nlace recognition in Luzerne County. This year the club also expanded its mem- bership by forming a juniorihigh organization composed of forty-three students form the Foster intermediate School. 76 s ,TL l 'Y Ecology Club Officers-G.
