Homecoming On October 11 and 12, Freeland High held its second annual Homecoming. Festivities began on Friday with a dance at which Bingo's ' Diesel played. Homecoming Queen Dorothy Mattavi was crowned, and she and her court- Marilyn Baskin, Carol Sweet, Selina Carr, and Pam Nlatisak- presided over the remainder of the dance. Saturday was the culmination of many horus of hard work for all of the students involved with preparations for the parade. Each class, the cheerleaders, and the band entered a float. The Class of '77's float, Key to Heaven, won first prize. That night the F.H.S. Football Team met Jim Thorpe in a tough ball game. Our team played well and fought until the end, but lost.
