This year he set a milestone for both himself and Free- land High's basketball team when he broke the school's record by scoring 1000 points. Lapper , as Tom came to be known, was also active on the cross-country and base- ball teams. 78

Billy Jeffreys, known for his quick movements and alertness, was always ready to steal the ball. Tony Lynn played a tough defensive game and threw accurate passes. Gerry Bmgan's excellent balance and quick movement never failed to amaze fans. Ron Matisak saved the play-off games with his fantastic foul shooting. We are sure that these live boys will always be remembered in the hearts of F.H.S. basketball fans. 77 so Rona:
