Band The Freeland High School Band, directed by the baton of Mr. Joseph Rosato, had a hectic year of performing at parades, football and basketball games, pep rallies, and con- certs. This was the first year that the band performed at pep rallies, and their partici- pation proved to everyone that the band is always capable of giving student spirit a solid boost. Various fund-raising projects also kept the band busy. Because ofthe efforts ofthe F.H.S. Band Boosters, who sponsor an an- nual Tag Day, the entire band was able to at- tend Camp Greeley in the Poconos. Atten- dance at such band camps over the past three years shows that our band is eager to improve and willing to sacrilice the time and energy required to maintain a iirst-rate band. The band must also be commended on a number of other accomplishments. The float that the band entered in the homecoming parade won tirst prize. The band also participated in the activities at the Blooms- burg Fair and competed with several other bands at Myers High School. Tri-Hi Band, District Orchestra, and Regional Band also benefited from the talents of several F.H.S. bandsmen. ' t l I . !
