' ' 4 ln four years we came along way from the nervous freshmen huddled under the old campus maples in the crisp air on our hrst moming of high school to the sed assured seniors whose throbbing hearts metered their steps as they mounted the stage for the last time as students of Freeland High School on graduation night. ln between, being an accomplishment conscious group. we struggled with soph- moric pride, survivetl trans-planting in our junior year, and came hurrying into our senior year, as all seniors are, pressed for time, trying to tie up this portion of our lives as a neat package ready for the worlds inspection. Our springtime has fuwlled its promise. Even now summer awaits laden with abundance, warm and golden. A season for the heighth and depth of lifes experience. We will live each moment with the hope that when our harvest is due, it will reveal a comucopia of jewels which cannot be measured monetoril y. I t is toward this goal that we must direct ourhearts, minds, and edorts. This book is a history of growth. lt is the chronicle of transformations. Yet it is only part of ourstory. What we do tomorrow will write the next chapters. Mark .l. Firley '75
