COOPERATIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Today the success or failure of all human endeavor is directly proportional to how cooperatxvely people work together The faster man learns to travel and the closer people live together the more 1m portant it becomes that we improve human relations Man has come far from the time when he was an mdependent individual w1th the bare necessities of life no leisure or luxuries little or no culture and a short span of life to an mterdependent 1nd1v1dual with ample food shelter clothing more leisure and a longer span of life than any other mdlvidual in the history of man Thls progress has also increased the important of which falls in the category of teaching people how to get along better together to work as a team with a mm imum of human conflict and at the same time to continue to be individuals with creative spirits Team work seems to be the order ofthe day We see examples of it all around us Today surgeons work as ateam rather than individually as they once did first drag nosing then operating to perform success fully operations unheard of before Grad ually the idea ofcooperat1ve effort through the United Nations IS supplantmg the theory of individual military preparedness to mam tain world peace The traditional picture of the individual scientist or mventor ex perimenting alone IS no more Today teams of as many as a hundred or more research workers will explore in a matter of weeks what it took the lone scientist years to investigate What meaning does this have for you as a student in Freehold Regional High School?
