The Fredonia High School Track Team this year is perhaps one of the best ever produced by this high school and it is without a doubt the most evenly balanced team that Fredonia has ever produced. Although there were no spectacular men on the team, they were good enough to win the dual meet with Neodesha and to win second place in the Verdigzis Valley meet. These records show that everyone of these men held back nothing when they were Working for the school. They were all made of the stuff that can not recognize defeat until the tape is broken or until they have had their last try in all the field events. Such a team is not made in a day, but is the result of many weeks of long, tiresome training, and then there is much credit due to the coaching of the team and Mr. Shankland deserves this credit.
