M 1 M y - A 14 at I student council One of the main jobs of the FHS Student Council is to direct school life. Council members shown on these pages are par- ticipating in some of the many council activities . In cooperation with the Speech Department the council sponsored many exchange assembly programs with sur- rounding schools and presented a Fine Arts Show in March. At Ch r i s tm a s time each teacher received an apple and greetings from the council. In Jan- uary the council and the Freshmanvelass sponsored a Sock I-lop. Developin'g re- ligious aspects is the council's duty as it provides weekly Monday morning de- votionals. Lee Meyer, 1958-59 FHS Student Council President, was elected by the student body in an election held in May, 1958. in.. Wayne Edwards, Thomas Doebbler, Charles Haas, Carol Keller, and Carey Stehling are polishing apples for the teachers.
