When a student registers, he or she auto- matically becomes a member of the S.G.A. This membership in the aca- demic community entitles one to all the privileges of a bona fide student. Also, it thrusts upon the new member the responsibility of observing the traditions, customs, and regulations ot Frederick College. This year the S.G.A. booked The Bitter End Singers for the Homecom- ing Concert and held many dances. The SGA. has also brought the Fri- day movies to campus. Jane Husk, Standing: Carl Moser, John Fogelgren As a part of the Student Government Association the Traffic Court is empowered to try cases dealing with stu- dent traffic violations. This gives a student the benefit of being tried in a lawful manner by his peers thus pro- viding an excellent opportunity for both the student judges and student defendants to practice good citizen- ship. sm. A student government representative, who is elected by a particular class or organization, is given the re- sponsibility of working both for the group of students who elected him and for the betterment of all aspects of college life.
