'ln' .m....., 2s-s ll As we sailed this sea of education, we encountered a busy Junior year. The girls who at- tended the football queen from our class were Rose Marie Fields, Shirley Anne Masch, and Mary Ellen McCabe. Smart Arnold and his band provided the music for our Rhapsody in Blue prom held a.t Pleasant Valley Country Club on May 26. Financing this was our very successful class play, A Broom for the Bride, a farce comedy. Entitled to two Rose Marie Fields and Clair Ann Carney were chosen as May queen attendants from our class. As all our little ships came sailing home to the harbor of Perry High for the last time, we laid anchor at a port of great activity. Progressing rapidly, our new school was being built and the old one remodeled. The teachers became more strict towards the end of our journey trying to give us our last pieces of knowledge. Most of the class participatirg, our annual skit turned out to be the funniest and best ever. Two dances were sponsored by our senior class: the dance held by the annual staff and the Senior Christmas Dance, both held at the Sons of Italy. Our class play, The Divine Flora, our senior picnic, held at Maple Grove on June 2, and our commencement exercises are all memorable events. With this, we bring to a close a sometimes pleasant, some- times hard, but nevertheless, valuable and essential journey. 85
