2.5 MISS FRANCES HOBACK finished at Tech High School and received her B.S. and M.A. degree from Memphis State. She has taught Health and Physical Education at F.H.S. for seven years. Miss Hoback sponsors the Cheerleaders and also works at the Frayser Community Center, With all these and more activities she still makes time to be a very active member of Taylor Memorial Christian Church. He graduated from Humes High and received his B.S. from Memphis State. Golf is his favorite hobby, however, he never forgets football, basketball, track, and base- ball. With all these varied interests he still spends much of his time with his son and daughter. JAMES ARMSTRONG was born in Wilson A kansas. After graduating from Humes High he attended Mississippi State for two years and P then spent two years at Memphis State where he received his B.S. degree. This is his first year at F.H.S. Football is his hobby. Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong lead a very active life as he is a Health and Physical Education teacher and she Q' N.. 9' V JOHN CLAYTON finished Collierville High School, at- tended North West Junior College for two years, and got his B.S. at Memphis State. Coach spent two years in the Army. He taught at Bartlett before com' teaches Ballet. ilu - wo, ing to F.H.S. He enioys all sports except golf. He belongs to the JC's at Raleigh and attends the Baptist Church. MRS. DOROTHY G. WILLIAMS finished high school at Union Springs, Alabama, and received her B.S. degree from Troy State Teachers College, Troy, Alabama. Before coming to F.H.S. this year she had taught in Florida and Alabama. Most of Mrs. Williams' time is taken up by her daughter Nancy, and her son Andy. She still finds time for cooking and bridge, her hobbies. Her favorite sports are tennis and bowling but she enioys watching football and baseball. She is an active member of Union Avenue Methodist Church.

INDUSTRIAL H. D. BRADY was born in Illinois. He tin- ished high school at Windsor, Illinois. Mr. Brady received his B.S. and M.A. degree from Indiana State. He is a member of Evergreen Presbyterian Church. His hobbies are various sports. He is married and has two daughters. Q. gc. e s , I ltlvj, x 'V ein 1 1 READ1NG W. BLACK, JR. was born in Deming, New Mexico. He graduated from EI Paso High School, at El Paso, Texas. Mr. Black spent twenty years in the Navy. He received his degree from Memphis State. This is Mr. Black's first year at F.H.S. He taught at Whitehaven in 1958-59. His hobbies are fishing and any type of woodwork. He attends the Presbyterian Church at Kerrville, Ten- nessee. SOCIAL STUDIES ARTS RAYMOND JERRY OWEN has' taught at F.H.S. for three years. He completed his high school work in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He served in the army before getting his B.S. and M.A. degree from Memphis State. Mr. Owen belongs to the American Legion and is a member of the Church of Christ. DON MUSSER finished high school in Filer, Idaho. He attended Idaho Southern College of Education, and received his B.S. and M.A. degree from Memphis State. Mr. Musser taught for 'four years in Idaho before coming to F.H.S. eight years ago. His hobbies are singing and opera. He sings in the choir at Lindenwood Christian Church. Mr. Musser sponsors the Youth for Christ Club at F.H.S. PAUL WOODARD is a graduate of Trezavant High School at Trezavant, Tennessee. He attended Lambuth College before he received his B.S. and M.A. degree from Mem- phis State. Mr. Woodard served with the Marines during World War Il and was with the Army in Korea. He now holds a First Lieutenant Commission in the National Guard. The Army schools and reserve camps usually keep Mr. Woodard busy in the summer, but his two year old daughter takes care of him in the winter.

HOMEMAKING MISS HAL JOHNSON DOUGLAS graduated from Central High School, and then obtained a Vocational Home Economics degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee. Miss Douglas came to F.H.S. from Bartlett in l953. This year, during the Christmas holidays, she was in a terrible automobile wreck iust outside the city limits of Dallas, Texas, and has had to spend most of the year in and out of the hospital. Fortunately, Miss Douglas is making a remarkable recovery. Miss Douglas is a member of many profes- sional organizations and spends her spare time working with young people at school and at the Madison Heights Methodist Church. l l MRS. LESSIE CAROTHERS, who has been teaching at F.H,S. for three years, was born in Taylor, Mississippi, where she graduated from high school. She holds a B.S. and an M.A. degree from Ol' Miss. Mrs. Carothers is active in the Eastern Star, the Baptist Church and many professional organizations. Her favorite pastime is sewing. 2 it DO YOU RATE? M? .S fm MRS SALLY HERRINGTON was born in Hattiesburg Mississippi where she graduated from high school She received her BS and MA degree from Mississippi Southern in Home Economics Education. She taught in southern Mississippi before coming to F.H.S. two years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Herrington attend the Episcopal Church. Reading, sewing and trying new recipes are t ,vt ogg af her hobbies. MRS. KATHLEEN R. GRAVES came to F.H.S. seven years ago after teaching in Henderson County and at Millington. She received her B.S. degree from Memphis State and later re- ceived her B.S. in Vocational Home Economics from the University of Tennessee. Mrs. Graves is an active member of the Springdale Civic Club, Bellevue Baptist Church and several professional associations, Flower-raising is her year- round hobby.
