LA TIN SPANISH MRS. GLADYS M. FINCH has been teaching at F.H.S. for nine years. She not only enioys teaching, but also enjoys sponsoring the Latin Club. She was born in Barlow, Kentucky, finished high school at a iunior college, M.C.l.F., in Jackson, Tennessee, and graduated from Union University with a B.A. degree. Since 19111, Mrs. Finch has taught in various schools in Kentucky and Tennessee. Mrs. Finch is not only a mother of three, but also has nine grandchildren. She belongs to the First Evangelical Church. MRS. MABLE V, CUVILLIER also teaches English. She sponsors the Spanish Club and is also an eleventh grade sponsor. This is Mrs. Cuvillier's eighth year to teach. BUSINESS in 59: s 4,o4g x 45 EDUCATION l i n 1 2:2 F N, Iifltgggi i MRS. AUGUSTA W. HAASE, although a native of Tennessee, graduated from high school in Fulton, Kentucky. She re- ceived her B.A. degree from Bowling Green College of Commerce, and did her graduate work at New York Univer- sity. Mrs. Haase taught in North Carolina, Connecticut, and New York City before coming to F.H.S. three years ago, She spends most of her time with her seven yea' old daughter, Dixie Ann, and attends the Church of Christ. VILLARD A. EAST was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, however, he moved to Missouri ,at an early age. He graduated from high school at Cooter, Missouri. He attended Arkansas State and re- ceived his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Memphis State. Mr. East was in the Navy three years before he started teachTng school at Bolivar, Tennessee. This is Mr. East's second year at F.H.S. This year he transferred from the social studies department to the com- mercial department. Mr. East belongs to the Methodist Church and his hobbies are his four month old son, reading, bridge, and fishing.

l MRS. EURA CASTELLAW was born in Trenton, Tennessee, and graduated from nearby Walnut Grove High School. She holds a B.A. degree after attending Union University and Lambuth College. Mrs. Castellaw's experiences with teaching in Georgia, Tennes- see, Arkansas, and Missouri are as varied as her hobbies: flowers, dramatics, and reading. This is the third year she has taught ninth grade English at F.H,S. AL CLEMENS was born in Scottsboro, Alabama, where he gradu- ated from high school. After receiving his B.A. from the Univer- sity of Alabama he spent twenty-five years teaching Physical Education and English in Alabama, Mississippi, and Southwestern College at Memphis, before coming to F.H.S. four years ago. Mrs. Clemens teaches at Snowden. They have two daughters and two grandchildren. His daughter is the fourth generation of school teachers in Mr. Clemens's family. Coach divides his attentions between Trinity Methodist Church and the World of Sports when he is not too busy with tenth grade English. l MRS. MABLE V. CUVILLIER is fast deserting the eleventh grade English de- partment for the fast growing Spanish department. She was born in Water Valley, Mississippi, but moved to Memphis at an early age where she attended Lauderdale School and graduated from Southside High School. Mrs. Cuvillier has taught in Memphis, on the Gulf Coast, and in Paris, France. Her hobbies include watching TV dramas, attending stage plays, and speaking foreign languages, her chief interest is Carol, her little four and one half year old daughter. LIBRARY KENNETH S. MAYS was born in Chester County, where he taught before coming to F.H.S. two years ago. He had also taught in Hardeman County, Tennessee, l and Walnut, Mississippi. Mr. Mays holds B.A. and M.A. degrees. He belongs to several professional organizations. The Frayser Baptist Church is where Mr. Mays and his family of four children attend church. MRS. BETTY SMITH was librarian at F.H.S. for the first time this year. She has had a wide variety of experience in her field. Mrs. Smith has a fine family, all of whom enjoy reading. Mr. Smith is a pastor.

MISS CAROLYN ROBERTS has been teaching commercial subiects at F.H.S. for two years. She lives in Shelby County near Millington, E where she graduated from high school. She I 4, f received her B.S. degree from Bethel Col- - 7 lege. Miss Roberts is a member of the Cum- berland Presbyterian Church and always en- ioys a good game of tennis and horseback riding. BOWERS, from Union City, Tennessee, at- tended Hall-Moody Junior College in Martin, Tennessee, and Millsaps College at Jackson, Mississippi. He taught in Weakley County and was principal of Hornbeak High School and Tiptonville High School before coming to Fray- ser High seven years ago. Mr. Bowers has three sons: Leonard C. of Irving, Texas, Billy Ray of Millington and Claude Dale, an alumnus of F.H.S., novv attending Mem- phis State. JAMES B. DUNLAP never becomes bored with life as he is always busy buying beautiful cars. At the present time he owns a pink Thunderbird. Mr. Dunlap was born in Bentonville, Arkansas, but moved to Memphis and graduated from Central High, received his B.S. from the University of Tennessee, and his M.A. from Memphis State, He had taught at Ripley, Hurnes High, and Collierville before coming to F.H.S. six years ago. Along with beautiful cars his hobbies are fishing and flying airplanes. iwwm NOBLE HICKS, JR. was nessee, where he graduated from high school. He selected Southwestern at Memphis from which to obtain his B.S. de- gree. Mr. Hicks has been teaching science at F.H.S. for two years. Although he is married and has five little girls, he is able to find time for his favorite recreations, archery, gardening, all sports, and attends the Presbyterian Church. born and raised in Dyersburg, Ten- O. Z. STEPHENS, JR. was born in Matton, Illinois, and attended school there. He received his B.S. degree from Eastern Illinois University, and his M.A. from Memphis State. This is Mr. Stephens' fourth year to teach biology at F.H.S. His two daughters, Brenda Jean and Lori Melinda, take much of his time, but he still finds time to enioy all sports. Mr. Stephens attends Evergreen Presbyterian Church.
