DELTA SIGMA CHI The Speech Department each six weeks has recognized one student who in the opinion of the faculty and students of the speech classes is representative of the high school ideals of our school. After being nominated by faculty members, the nominees are screened until they appear before a faculty-student committee, which makes the final selection each six weeks. SPEECH nil, 'C llll li- mr This year the F.H.S. Speech Department hases- tablished the custom of having an organized club for each class period. The purpose of this year's clubs have been to learn parliamentary procedure, to develop speaking ability, and to instill school spirit by the selection of a Foremost Frayserite each six weeks. The Speech Department has presented a special student assembly, produced a Christmas Tree-o of one-act plays and a three-act play, One Foot in Heaven, this spring. This fall eleven charter members were tapped into the organization. Then, in the spring, apprentice members who had gained ten Thespian points under the organizations point system were formally initiated. The highest honor to be bestowed upon a Thespian is to be chosen as Best Thespian for the year.
