MUSIC The MUSIC DEPARTMENT meets and satisfies a basic human need of students in the use of leisure time and in acquiring skill and knowledge. Music also promotes good social attitudes, and trains the mind and body in discipline. This department also represents the school W. R. PETREMAN B.A., Ouachita Baptist College and community in public relations. 5 HOME MAKING HOMEMAKING is offered as a two year minor, third or fourth year maior, or as a one year elective. The girls learn food selection, meal planning and food preparation, tableservice, etiquette, consumer buying and budgeting, personal grooming, beginners sew- ing, and hand tailoring of coats and suits as they ad- vance.
