EIGHTH GRADE BASKETBALL Under the direction of Coach Sam Boggs, the eight grade basketball team completed a fine sea- son with a 10-3 record. The only blemishes to be found on the eighth grade record were two losses to Botetourt Intermediate and a solitary loss to Gretna Junior High School. The squads loss to Gretna was avenged a week later in the Franklin County Junior High gym by a score of 45-38. Coach Boggs said that the entire team had plenty of hustle, skill and a strong desire to win. The coach felt that all of the members of the squad gave 100'Z, effort in each of their contests. NIN TH GRADE BASKETBALL The ninth grade basketball team at Franklin County Jtmior High School gave all of its supporters a truly exciting season. The ninth grade squads posted a very impressive record of thirteen wins and no losses. Throughout the season the team was able to defeat strong opposition in each of their contests. It was truly a team effort as all of the members of the ninth grade squad saw action in every contest. Mr. Jones said that he felt that the team exhibited good sportsmanship and hustle against all of their competition. The team truly represented Franklin County Junior High School well.
