Questions and answers, reports and essays, problems and experi- ments, these are the daily duties of a student of F. H. S. But it isn't all hard work. Ask the student who scared his lab partner half to death with his flaming test tube, or the boy in shop working on a fine lamp, or Trig, problems. This year we have added three new teachers to our staff. Miss Col- lier, Spanish and English, Mrs. Hover, Physical Education and Health, and Mr. Payne, English and Mathe- matics. ree new Joyce Kerkhoff and Nick Waymire take advantage of our well stocked library during their study hall. Ok. p. rom lA tin crowning JranLton behoof r Z)a j LfA. Everyone enjoyed the banquet held at Mangas Cafe- teria. Dancing at the Prom was the wonder that made the girls eyes sparkle on May 3, 1963. With a song in my heart , a fitting theme for a wonderful prom. The 1963 Junior Senior Prom was held in the Elks Lodge of Elwood on May 3. A night to remember , was the comment of those who enjoyed the evening's fes- tivities. The banquet was held at the Mangas' Cafeteria in a setting which carried out the musical theme. Upon dismissal by Carolyn Wright, Mistress of ceremonies, the group proceeded down the main street of Elwood in a melodious atmosphere, prepared for a mystical evening of dancing and parties. Her Royal Highness Jennie Frazier and attendants Nila Huth and Karen Jarvis, reigned over an evening of moments to treasure forever. Queen, Jennie Frazier, escorted by Dick McCord, with her court, Nila Huth, escorted by John Johnson, and Karen Jarvis escorted by Stan Busby, reigned supreme in '63.
