J. B. Paschall President Bill Day Vice-President Braxton Gi lie land Secretary Byron Thorpe Treasurer In September of 1953, we Seniors were uncertain first graders entering the halls of Franklinton High School, our first step into the world of the Big People. Soon on a balmy night in May, to the tune of Pomp and Circumstance, we will leave the security of our high school days, but these days will be a part of us forever. We will remember the hard work and thrill of athletics, the endless practices and final performances of very successful junior and senior plays, the realization during our magazine and annual ad sales that some of us were high pressure salesmen, We will not forget the Junior-Senior, decorating, dancing, and the inevitable clean-up; we will not forget our teachers (how could we?) , especially Miss Jackson, who has somehow lived through four years with us. Nor will we forget what we have learned here, most important, the lessons we have learned about ourselves and others through close comradeship. The Class of ' 65 is almost Franklinton High School history now, But as we sadly start our journeys far apart, a part of every heart will linger here. 9
