L 'iyl 29 ACADEMIC PROCESSION THE CAMPUS We love each hall and building, Thy campus stretching long, Thy tower and bell ,... so goes the Alma Mater. It is indeed a campus to be proud of, to come back to in future years, after graduation, and stroll along its walks, from the bowling green on Buchanan Avenue to the billboard on the Harrisburg Pike, advertising a Colonial College for Men. Franklin and Marshall College has made great strides in the fashioning of a real college campus since the dedication of Old Main in May, 1856. The towers are still a landmark in Lancaster, overshadowed only by the unsightly city water stand- pipes. The great silver beeches at the entrance to the academy drive and the old stone retaining wall in front of Old Main would look well on any college campus. Most recent additions are the Keiper Liberal Arts Building with its beautiful and useful Little Theatre and the Fackenthal Library, the equal of which would be hard to find in any other small college.
