Received A.B. degree from Franklin and Marshall College, lune, 1904, A.M. degree from Franklin and Marshall College, 1905, Ph.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania, 1908. Taught at Carnegie Institute of Technology, 1908-1911. Chief Chemist, Eagle-Picher Lead Co., 1911, Vice-President, in charge of Manufacture, 1921, Vice-President, in charge of Research, 1931. Elected President of Franklin and Marshall College, lune, 1935, inaugurated President of Franklin and Marshall College, December 6, 1935 Celebrated Sesqui-Centennial of Franklin and Marshall College, October, 1937 Dedicated the Fackenthal Library, May 31, 1938.
