Beck, head of Chemistry Department, and Pro- fessor Charles E.. Meyers, of the English Department, were seriously injured in an automobile accident while on the way to witness the Dickinson--F. and M. football game at Carlisle, on October ll, l924. Professor Beck suffered injuries of the head, and Professor Meyers a fractured pelvis. both of which threatened serious consequences. At the present time, however, both have prac- tically recovered, although they were forced to suspend their duties for the year.
